For BOPIS orders as part of backroom pick the picked items are moved to a BOPIS staging location or some secure location which is not then available for picking or walk-in customers. In case of a customer cancellation at that point or a no-show, there is no guidance on the store engagement client to store associate to do a put back task. Which is a move task, to move the ordered items from the BOPIS staging location back to storage where they will be available for picking for future BOPIS and walk-in customers. Ideally, this is achieved through a UI flow very similar to the backroom pick flow.
How will this idea be used?
Whenever a cancellation happens for a click and collect order that has already been picked, the store engagement user will see an alert to do a putback task. This task will advise the store associate to go to the BOPIS staging location and pick up the items on the order and then drop them off in the storage location. The UI flow should be similar to the backroom pick flow.

Hi, thanks for your idea. As mentioned in the comments of this idea, this is covered with the Putaway capability in the next-gen SaaS store. Putaway tasks can be generated to move items from staging or pickup back to shelf locations if a BOPIS order is cancelled.
