SFG CONNECT:Direct adapter compression negotiation
At present the SI CONNECT:Direct adapter will abort a C:D process
when a remote initiating node requests an unsupported mode of compression i.e. standard compression, during a copy step. This RFE is suggesting that a better default action would be to continue with the copy procedure utilizing non-compression mode which is universally supported. Enhanced compression mode could also be an option if it could be negotiated during the node to node handshake with the eventual fallback to non-compression if all else fails. In any case, it is not acceptable for a copy step to abort because the pnode is unaware of the lack of standard compression on the snode, especially when there are alternative choices that can be made during the handshake.
