Currently the only way to make a call to the SI API from a BP is to authenticate in the REST Client Service by basic authentication. Credentials need to be hardcoded or configured.
How will this idea be used?
As the BP runs in a privileged security context (admin) it would be extremely beneficial if this privileged context could by propagated to liberty SSO behind the scenes. The current setup is being criticized in an security audit.
