Where producers of data inadvertently submit excessive volumes of files to be transferred, a mechanism would be useful to suspend processing at the producer mailbox. This would be across protocols and apply limits on file size and quantity. The impact of excessively high (1000's) and large (>10GB) files delivered into SFG is a recognised service issue. Recovery actions are needed as this is often a high severity incident which impacts performance and sometimes produces a service outage.
How will this idea be used?
Apply quota to a custom protocol that defines the limits for a mailbox.
Notification and restricting further connections to be applied when limits are exceeded.
