View sizes of incoming SFG files in real time - enable excessively large files to be stopped.

Would it be possible to set up a facility in (or enhancement to) SFG to enable real-time monitoring of space usage of in-progress files? We often encounter situations when end users send unexpectedly oversized files through CONNECT:Enterprise, and we expect the same situations to occur when we migrate to SFG. My understanding is that there is currently no facility within SFG to monitor large incoming files that are obviously growing to a size that will overwhelm the database; such files can currently only be detected after transmission is complete - this can be too late to prevent our DB from running out of space. Can a facility be developed (or an enhancement made to existing SFG facilities) to monitor file sizes in real time as these files come into SFG?
