Multiple Business Views - Customer View

A business is considered as a division or department in a corporate divisional relationship. Each business has a parent company. A company is the parent of one or more businesses, and the businesses report to the company.

Some business data is assigned to a business by the parent company, such as trading partner names and system administrator capabilities.

A business view is a means by which a company administrator can control users' access to business data. If a user has access to a particular business view, then they can see data from that business.

In IBM Watson Supply Chain Insights platform provided by IBM, there is no option of choosing different Business Views.

If there is more than one plant/division at customers site and the customer's requirement is to keep the data secure and secret to that plant alone, they would need multiple business views.

How will this idea be used?

As a customer, if I have two divisions/plants in two different locations, I want my data to be managed by the users specific to the location.

For example Plant A data needs to be accessed only by the Plant A users and not Plant B users and similarly vice versa. The customer should be able have multiple business views for all their plants at their end.

As an admin, I can be sure that the data the data is safe and secure and specific to geography and division and I can control the access of the data.
