Mapping is the essential component in the B2B integration environment.
There are limitations on features provided at map level since Sterling Integrator supports only some of the Java classes such as java.lang.String, java.util.date etc. The custom Java classes can be created and accessed in the map with the help of user exit. This feature comprises of ‰ÛÏnumber to words‰Û conversion as well as language translation from English to any other language.
The solution is approached on local instance of IBM Sterling Integrator v5.2.4.
In order to implement this requirement at map level, custom user exit needs to be created which performs the operations of number to words conversion and language translation from English to any other language. The language translation can be performed with the help of Google translation REST API which requires internet connection.
Once we deploy Google API as well as create user exit then this requirement can be handled efficiently at map level. Attachment consists of two jar files i.e. Google translation API jar and user exit jar along with sample map with input/output. This jar files can be installed with the help of install3rdPart.sh script.
This is one of the solution that can be mirrored on IBM GIODE (SaaS environment of IBM Sterling Integrator) so that this features will be available for CTE/Production POD instances.
