Use a whitelist approach to validate the file extension in /dsv/sponsor/module/fileManagement and /dsv/partner/module/fileManagement

The PEM  is vulnerable to an unrestricted file upload on the path /dsv/partner/module/fileManagement/ and /dsv/sponsor/module/fileManagement in the parameter file. Through this vulnerability it is possible to upload a windows executable file that that could have malicious behaviour.

Case TS013671511 and Case TS013760060 are already raised with IBM.

Currently assessing feasibility relative to differentiation between file interception/exchange rules defined in Firewall and need for additional filtering rules at the user/client level.

Will begin evaluating this requirement at architecture and design level for detailed assessment on addressing it most effectively. (ETA end of September)

We expect to have an architecture and scoping plan done in September, and may connect with DSV for clarification, such as whether just filtering on extension is sufficient since file extensions are easily changeable.
