API for Group management

There is currently no API to create or manage Groups.

There should be capability to:

Create Group

Edit Group (Name, Description)

Assign/Unassign Attribute Values

What is your industry? Non-Industry Specific
How will this idea be used?

During context setup, Group creation cannot be scripted and must be performed by hand. This has the potential for human error during setup.

An API would allow automated context setup, reducing errors.

There is already an "mrmws" API to assign/unassign Attribute Values to Partners.

This request is just to be able to define the Group along with the attributes that define membership of the group.

We have added this idea to our list of enhancement requests to consider. As I understand this requirement, while creating a group along with the group name and description is manual, the effort is small. However, being able to assign and un-assign attributes and then those partners to those groups takes quite a bit of time to do this for each partner. Providing an API would help to automate this process.
