I would like the ability to add a calculated field/column to the Items view, similar to what you can do with a pivot table.

With a company as large as ours, different groups are interested in different metrics. It would be nearly impossible to capture and manage all of these centrally as fields in the tool. The specific example I am looking at is someone who wants to measure the difference of two attributes of a material: available stock on hand and inventory max. They also want to capture the dollar value of this. Instead of downloading the data and manually doing this in Excel, it would be nice if they could add a column in the tool and quickly set the value to column 1 - column 2. And then add another column that is equal to that column times column 3.

That's great to hear Dylan! Have there also been discussions about adding more pivot table-type functionalities in the Items tab? I know that Distinct Values behaves somewhat like a pivot table, but it would be great if we could do more sophisticated pivot tables directly in the tool.

This is a great idea!! We have currently identified this requirement through a number of other users and are working to get this feature in the product as soon as timing permits.
