Capacity assessment of ITXA Rest Server

We are developing ITX maps that will access ITXA codelist for several fields mapping.

Below are the expected scenarios:

1. There will be 100s of ITX maps to be developed to access ITXA codelist

2. Each map can access several times in a single execution to map one more fields and that can also occur in a looping occurrences.

3. There will be about about millions of messages to be processed through these maps in PROD system in a week.

We have couple of options to access codelist as below:

1. Use GET function in ITX map with SPE adapter to use data harness functions

2. With reference to the case TS015527084, we were advised to refer ITX-I-21 Watson idea that suggests to use database query when multiple codes to be accessed.

We are thinking about below options to access the codelist and need your advise from performance perspective.

1. Create an input card with REST adapter in ITX map to access ITXA REST server to fetch codelist that will be available as an input to the map

2. Create an input card with JDBC adapter in ITX map to access ITXA DB server to fetch codelist that will be available as an input to the map

With this approach we will have all codes available already and need not call multiple GET+SPE adapter instances.

Will the ITXA REST server capable of handling such high volume of calls made from SPE Transformation Service? Any fine tuning must be carried out to handle such volume?

How will this idea be used?
