CD Windows: Support por codepages ISO-8859-1 and ISO-8859-15

Actually Cd Windows uses mlang.dll of Microsoft for codepage transaltion.

This mlang.dll can't work with codepages ISO-8859-1 and ISO-8859-15.

CD Windows must be changed to use another APIs to support ISO Latin codepages

    Thanks for your feedback Vijay.

But we don't share your point of view: Another IBM products, such IBM MFT can work in Windows and use codepage tranlation with Latin ISO codepages.

Why CD can not be modified in the same why?

Why is not documented in product documentation that CD is not compatible with Latin codepages in Windows enviroments?

Thank you once again for your patiance while we were reviewing this. Further on my earlier comment, We confirmed that CD uses Windows code page libraries and the error returned indicated that no conversion was available for the specified combination of to and from code pages. Not all combinations are possible to convert.

We suggest to leverage a tool that can perform the desired conversion, so that you could utilize it in a RUN TASK step before or after the COPY step in his process. Hope that helps. Since we are limited with the Windows code page libraries we wont be able to address this natively in the application. Hence marking this as "Not under consideration" Feel free to reach out if you have any additonal questions on this.

    Thank You,

    Product Management

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

We use Windows system code page library to provide translation and believe that the translation that’s expected is not available. We are further reviwing this to confirm the same and be able to get back with a response in coming weeks.

    Thanks,

    Product Management
