Currently, Document Configuration allows a different configuration for each transaction type for each trade partner. It's tedious to create a new configuration for each trade partner for a particular transaction type. We would like the ability to create one configuration for a transaction type that we could apply to multiple trade partners.
Also, configurations are company-wide, so they apply to all company users of BTI. We would like the ability for each user to create their own configurations that apply only to them.
How will this idea be used?
This will allow each user to customize their BTI view to they way they like it...and it will allow them to create just one configuration per transaction type, so they won't have to create a different configuration for each and every trade partner.

I am happy to say that the first part of this idea has been implemented in BTI in Q4 of 2018. Begin by selecting a specific trading partner to configure. Then click the gear icon and check the box that says "Promote to universal configuration". That specific trading partner configuration will now apply across all trading partners.
We would like more information on your request for configurations at the individual user level. We will follow up after the holidays to discuss.
Thanks again for your idea!
