Doc Config panel navigation is clumsy Save vs Cancel, which branch is the user on, what is being saved, etc

A. I believe that each panel should have an identifier. It can be 1.0 - 1.1 -1.2 or  (Doc Config = DC1 - DC2 - DC3 ) (Alarms AL1) (Anomaly AN1) (Errors ER1) (Milestone  MS1)
When users have questions the panel is important reference.
When creating doc, it's helpful reference.

B. I believe that when SAVE is pressed and the action is confirmed, the next display should be the previous branch/hub from which I came.
Today, the SAVE shows the confirm frame, yet remains on the customization panel. I can only exit back to the unique document frame by pressing CANCEL.
The response is really alarming.. as it makes you pause to think that everything you did could be unsaved.
