Disabling Security on AWS S3

Can we add an "insecure" parameter to accept self-signed 127 bit certificates for which I'm getting the error message:
com.sterlingcommerce.woodstock.services.integration.AWSS3Exception: Unable to execute HTTP request: com.ibm.jsse2.util.h:
        PKIX path building failed:
java.security.cert.CertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Basically we are looking for http communication through our AWS S3 client service?

It would be good to provide option like SSL is must or optional in AWS S3 service/into BPML Hence I mentioned both HTTPS and HTTP.

Thank you for participating in the request for enhancement community. We are evaluating this idea, but require some additional information.

This idea is talking about allowing for self signed cert and then mentions HTTP support. These two seem contradictory - self signed or CA signed certs comes into play only for HTTPS however we are talking about HTTP. Could you please clarify?
