Looping RC validation check

We have encountered this problem many times, there is no precheck in SFG that will check for loops before deploying the routing channel.

Due to this problem, we have ran into huge recursive file routing loops which kept reprocessing the same file, hogging the server resources ultimately to the stage of crashing it. The same also contributed to manifest database issues of fragmentation and slow performance.

Such a trivial check is present in every enterprise system and we are surprised by absence of same in IBM SFG.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

This will prevent loops and improve DB performance thereby avoiding useless recursions.

Thank you for participating in the request for enhancement community. We have evaluated this request and have agreed to look into this further. File Gateway was designed to provide as much flexibility as possible to meet customer's custom requirements. However, there is always room for human error that we want to try and help avoid. We will be reviewing what options we have to introduce a check into the process to stop this loop from happening. We cannot make a commitment at this time, but we have accepted this RFE to our backlog and will update as appropriate.
