We are in the process of upgrading our B2B Integration stack. As part of this effort we have installed SI 220.127.116.11 and are testing with IBM MQ 7.5 using a multi-instance queue manager configuration.
This queue manager configuration requires that the MQ adapters in Sterling Integrator pass multiple MQ server names/ip's in the connect operation, but there seems to be no provision for this in SI.
As per Sterling's response in PMR 18546,442,000, multiple hostnames are not supported in SI's MQ adapters.
The only solution open to us in this case is to use a loadbalancer in front of the multiple MQ servers, but we have been informed by the internal MQ team this approach is not officially supported by IBM-MQ.
I request that the ability to pass multiple MQ hostnames be added as an enhancement to the MQ adapters in SI (in particular, to WebsphereMQ Async Receive and WSMQ Open Session adapters) at the earliest.
