Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Select multiple trust cert with search functionality
In SSP Dashboard, Netmap > Inbound Node[HTTP based protocol] > Security>CA Certificates/Trusted RootWhile selecting multiple certificates it becomes very difficult to select multiple cert and find to unselect certificate. It would be conve...
Control logging of SSP CM monitoring messages
Messages are written to the auditlog.xml file (ACPT037I, ACPT040I and ACPT038I), as well as the sspengine.log file for the same activity. It is possible to reduce the frequency of these messages, but only to once every 10 minutes. It would be great ...
Update Adapter log in SSP 6000 just as SSP343
To identify the IP or Subnet to be whitelisted.
There is a difference in the way the IP/DNS are getting logged in the Adapter logs in SSP 6000 than SSP 343. This has become an issue as we are not able to differentiate between a...
License FASP at SSP rather than the endpoints. Add FASP support to SSP for additional protocols
FASP licensing could be applied to SSP rather than the underlying endpoints thereby allowing bridging to be performed where a multitude of underlying endpoints route through that SSP instance. Currently each endpoint has to be licensed individual...
Sterling Secure Proxy does not currently support the forward proxy
reading Source IP address from HTTP headers through for example X-Forwarded-For
Currently there is a dynamic routing feature to read incoming source IP address and base the routing based on this value. However many organizations dont support having source IP address hitting the SSP engine servers. Usually the incoming IP addr...
Sterling External Authentication Server High Availability Scenario Failover Mechanism Needs
We would like to extend the options of failover scenarios in SSP-SEAS integration. In high available configuration, where there are two active SEAS, when one of the servers are down, the other takes over the others responsibilities. However,...
IBM B2B Integrator product needs an ability to capture the SFTP public key of a Client attempting to connect to File Gateway's mailbox.
When a client first attempts to connect to the server their public key should be captured and put in an holding tank. We find that many of our customers are unable to successfully capture and share their public key with out the format of the trans...
Ability to see perimeter server status on SSP (i.e. monitioring - running/stopped)
Currently we're unable to see which perimeter servers are active on the Sterling Secure Proxy engines, this in turn can cause issues if duplicates are present. This would mimic the monitoring ability currently in place for adapters.
Add SOCKS Support for All SSP Protocols
This would be useful in our environment so that we have the ability to refresh hardware at a more rapid pace without having to worry about maintaining IP addresses in the refresh or notify our customers that we are moving to new infrastructure. Ou...
