Enable connection pooling for remote nodes when using CDPLEX

We use the PARSESS ADJACENT.NODE statement to limit parallel sessions from the local node to a remote node based on capacity as agreed with the partner node. When updating our environment to use CDPLEX with multiple server regions, this parameter ...

Add capability to Connect:Direct to work around undesirable DVIPA behavior

We'd like to request a new initialization parm for Connect:DIrect (CD) to disable outbound TCP connection establishment until after the DTF opens its TCP listener ports. Our DTFs both send traffic and listen for traffic. We have had situations whe...

Connect Direct Z/OS Password-less Sign-On : Use certificate authentication for the CD session. CD currently supports this for the API connection (e.g. port 1363) and exploring if this could be added for the server connection (i.e. port 1364). The goal would be to use the certificate Common Name as the user ID as we do for the API connection or expand to allow other sources for the user ID – Jobname, SPOE, in-line SIGNON, batch user ID, etc. – and define order of precedence.

Issue Description: Client has security initiative to remove passwords being exposed in jobs. If there is a sign on ID used it is ignored if there is a password less ID and defaults to the job card ID. If client removes password from the sign-on ca...

Address $$UPDATE Deficiencies

We experienced an issue with C:D 6.1 on z/OS where we performed a $$UPDATE function on a netmap entry and the node became unable to accept inbound connections. We were advised by CD support that there is an obscure recommendation in the documentat...

Enhanced messaging for various message states within job log to allow automation

Today - the only way to verify message processing is to log into Connect:Direct and check the current status. We would like it when messages go into the various states (specifically a wait state) for a message to put but out to the started task jo...

Enable Transfer of Entire USS Directory via C:D z/OS

Sending Unix files on Z via C:D is tedious at best. I'd like for Connect:Direct to at least be on par with FTP functionality-wise if I'm going to try to convince users that it's in fact the better choice. C:D needs to be able to transfer an entire...
